FEGB (Far East Ground Beef)
Cook 1 cup of white rice....
In sauce pan with lid:
1 cup rice
1 3/4 cup water
1 tbs vegetable oil
Stir once
Cover
Bring to boil
Reduce to very lowest simmer and cook until done (less than 10 minutes)
Now....
Chop 1 medium yellow onion
Defrost 16 oz frozen peas
In a wok or large frying pan, on high heat:
1 tbs oil
1 lb ground beef
Add 1/4 tsp garlic powder
Cook until almost brown
Add 1-2 tsp soy sauce
Add 1/2 ounce wine
Add the onions
Stir until onions soften
Add 3 tbs (yes, 3 TABLESPOONS)curry powder
(or a mix of curry powders, perhaps some red pepper flakes)
Stir well
Add the peas
Stir
Add 1 cup roasted peanuts (dry roasted and salted)
Stir well
Put cooked rice into bottom of casserole and pour meat mix in top. Cover. Put in oven at 350 for 20 minutes.
